Who we are
WeBuyMacMinis.com is run by Moropo Limited, company number 13970017. Our registered office is 5 Brayford Square, London, E1 0SG. We decide how your personal data is used. You can contact us about it at help@webuymacminis.com.
What we collect
- Your quote. The details you give about your Mac mini, its condition, and the price we offered.
- Your email address, if you accept an offer or ask us to email you your quote.
- Details we need to complete a trade, which we ask for by email after you accept. This means your name, postal address and bank details.
- Ad click information, only if you accept ad cookies. If you came from a Google ad, we save Google’s click ID with your quote. This tells us which ads lead to quotes.
- Technical data. Our host, Cloudflare, handles your IP address and browser details to deliver the site and keep it secure.
Why we use it
- To buy your Mac mini. We use your email, name, address and bank details to post you a prepaid envelope, keep you updated and pay you. This is needed for our agreement with you.
- To run and improve the site. We look at quotes to check our prices and keep the site secure. This is in our legitimate interests.
- To measure our ads. We only do this if you agree to ad cookies. You can change your mind at any time.
- To keep records. The law requires us to keep business and tax records.
If you only ask us to email your quote, we use your address to send that one email and don’t keep it. We don’t sell your data, and we don’t send you marketing emails.
Cookies
- wbmm_consent remembers whether you accepted or rejected ad cookies. It lasts 12 months. It’s needed for the site to work, so it doesn’t need your consent.
- Google Ads cookies are only set if you click “Accept”. If you reject them, Google only gets basic signals without cookies, such as that a quote was made.
Who we share it with
- Cloudflare, which hosts the site and stores our data.
- Google, for ad measurement, only if you accept ad cookies.
- Royal Mail, who gets your name and address to deliver your prepaid envelope.
- Our bank, to pay you.
- Our email provider, to send and receive emails.
Some of these companies may handle data outside the UK. When they do, they use legal safeguards approved under UK law, such as standard contract clauses.
How long we keep it
- Quotes that weren’t accepted: 2 years.
- Trades and the details needed for them: 6 years, as required for tax records.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- give you a copy of your data
- correct it
- delete it
- stop or limit how we use it
- send it to you or another company in a common format
Email help@webuymacminis.com. We’ll reply within one month. Some rights have limits. For example, we must keep tax records even if you ask us to delete them.
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve used your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. We’d like the chance to put it right first.
Changes
If we change this notice, we’ll update it here and change the date at the top.
